Hi there! My name is Stefan Gotthold, and I’m the creator, developer, and operator of the AllSkyKamera network.

AllSkyKamera is much more than a technical project to me. It grew out of a passion for the night sky, open data, and learning together as a community. What started as a single camera has become a growing network of people, cameras, sensors, and shared ideas.

Behind this network lies a lot of work that often remains invisible: planning new features, maintaining and improving the software, running servers, storing and securing large amounts of data, keeping documentation up to date, supporting new participants, and constantly exploring new technologies. As the network grows, so does the responsibility to keep everything reliable, open, and accessible.

I put a great deal of time, energy, and dedication into this project. Still, as AllSkyKamera continues to expand, sustaining it without financial support becomes increasingly challenging.
